1. How are the funds raised through Our History Project used?
All funds raised through and by Our History Project will go toward producing, maintaining, hosting, transcribing, and maintaining our servers and show. Donations also cover salaries and the normal day to day operations. Everything you give will go toward our Mission, Goals and Vision of persevering history. 2. Does in cost anything to become involved in Our History Project?
To become involved the cost is zero (0). We have a forum that you can participate in now. We want your views, your insight and your ideas to make this the best place to be to discuss, learn and grow.
We do have memberships, support and sponsor levels available to further our goals, missions and vision. In essence, the more we can raise the more projects there will be. See our membership page for levels.
3. Is giving to Our History Project tax deductible?
Yes. Every dollar you donate is completely tax deductible.
4. What part of U.S. History will be covered?
Every aspect, state and topic will be covered as a part of our project. We will cover all sides and dimensions of history. We want you to learn, hear, read and share the good times and the bad, the ups and downs. It is "our" history and the key word there is "our." Through historical facts, references, experts, personal knowledge, personal accounts, journals, diaries, daybooks and letters we will attempt to cover the undocumented part of U.S. history.

7. Will the board have the power to refuse a donation or request for membership?
Yes. While very few will ever fall into this category it must be understood, that as a public charity we are governed by state and federal laws and we shall reserve the right not to accept donations that will jeopardize our standing as a public charity or that the board of directors deems not in the best interest of Our History Project and its members, supporters and sponsors. Again, this will rarely happen, if ever. If you have any questions about this please ask us.
8. How long is my membership good for?
Each membership runs on a 12 month cycle from the date the donation is made.
9. Can I advertise my business as being a supporter or sponsor of Our History Project?
Absolutely, we would be honored by members, organizations, supporters and sponsors that are in current and good standing to tell, show and promote this project. If there is something special going on let us know.
10. I'm running for public office can I join?
Yes. We will be glad to have you as a part of Our History Project. We cannot place any campaign ads, slogans or messages dealing in any way, shape or form of the campaigns in which you are a part. Again we are regulated as a charitable corporation and fall under the governing laws there in.

A bulk of our monies will go toward community outreach, oral history projects and working with other organizations to fund, protect, preserve and relate our history through audio, visual, and hands on projects.
