If you want to add a photo to this topic you can also click the "insert image". It will bring up this window to locate it on your computer. Once you have found the image you want to be placed in your topic, highlight it by clicking once and then click the "open" button.
There are a number of things you can do in the panel to post and reply including putting in smiley faces and icons. Just click the smiley face on the bar and it will bring up these faces.
The last thing is the link button next to the blue WWW. . This is to highlight text to form a link to another site. Highlight the test you want to link and click on the www. . A drop down window will open and you will type the web address of the site you want to link to.
Again, I want to stress that you can't break this site by poking around and trying new things. Go ahead and play, try it. We want you here and we want your participation. If you mess something up send us a message and we'll fix it. This whole site was built for the purpose of preserving our history. The key word there is "our". That means you too.
If you get frustrated for any reason remember the "Forum" text at the top will get you back to the main page at any time.
On the top right hand corner you will see your messages, a place to edit your profile, your user name and logout. If you are logged out it will say log in and your user name will not be there.
If you click Edit Your Profile, you will be able to type in more information about yourself. Just for reference I usually don't put in my birthday. If you have a web site you can put it here and it will be displayed when you post.
In this section to, you will be able to change what photo appears beside your screen name. Just click "add photo" and the "edit your photo" screen comes up. Choose a photo that you want, either by finding one on your computer, from the web or pick one of ours.
That is about it. If you run into questions ask. Most people on any forums are used to this and most wil be glad to help.
