Last year we read the Declaration of Independence, this year we read the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights is the first 10 amendments to the Constitution (which now has 27) unlike the constitution which was written to layout how the country would be governed and the principles and parameters that would be followed, The Bill of Rights spells out the rights of individuals and what we can and should expect. This was quite a controversial issue at the time to add it or not and there are many places online to research, learn, read and teach about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
